I think you mean "First Camp"
I forgive you because you are new and because your avatar kinda creeps me out. |
Hee hee, actually when I heard that rumor the person swore it was called "Camp One" not "First Camp." Does sound more dramatic that way, doesn't it. _________________ "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro."

I don't think the problem was that people believe what they want to believe. The problem is that they believed what was written in the Who What When. Which if memory serves said "Daft Punk Headlining". Which I think is pretty fucking stupid to put 'headlining' unless the said talent is actually headlining. People believed the bullshit that was printed. Period. They didn't just pull it out of their ass. _________________ -AJ )'(

Not saying that people don't believe what they want. Hell half the population actually believed that the Raygun Gothic Rocketship was actually going to launch into space.
Never mind that the size of the entire rocket wasn't even a tenth of the size of the fuel tank on an actual rocketship. _________________ -AJ )'(

The other problem besides people believing what they want, is people believing something just because its in print. I think the survival guide should say someting along the lines of "all scheduled events should be considered suggestions of things that may or may not occur at a fixed point in a temporal continuum. Your results may vary." _________________ "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro."

If someone hasn't learned that most of the events in the www never happen or happen elsewhere or at a different time, then they just need to go to more events listed in the www. _________________ Live as if everyone loves you and thinks you look great. Dance as if no one is watching. |

I assumed that was a intentional prank, and I thought it was hilarious! I've seen Daft Punk live twice, and I've seen Verboten play Daft Punk CDs. If I closed my eyes I would have a hard time telling the difference.
We always tell everyone we see that Paul Oakenfold is playing a super secret show with The Crystal Method and Daft Punk and DJ Dan and blah blah famous DJ at 2am just past the trash fence. I hope no one has ever fallen for it, but if they have I just consider it Burning Man Darwinism. _________________ "The future is a whore, she promises herself to everyone."

We had lunch with Larry on the way out Tuesday at Bruno's in Gerlach.
He was is one of the middle tables with some other people and we were off in a corner marveling at these things in the small room that had an endless flow of PRESSURIZED water coming from them by turning a knob.
I spotted the hat and realized it was THE Hat. _________________ Playawaste Raiders and the Megaton Bar and Grill, coming soon... |
