And thanks Spec for your usual bucket of compost. AFAIK you never contribute to Q&A threads, so fuck me if I can't figure out what your stake is this query.

well thats an easy answer - because you have a long history of being a dick to those you have some problem with. for the most part its harmless, since people learn its not intentionally malevolent or vicious they usually mark it up to being one of those 'colorful' snarky old regulars hanging out at a neighborhood dive bar.

but like i said, its obvious the reason can only be known by actiongrl, as equally obvious you were directing your disatisfaction at people who didnt deserve it. if you dont like me sticking up for them, thats your problem, not mine.

Again, what's your stake in what happens in the Q&A threads? I contribute there all the time. It's pretty much the only reason I check in on the eplaya.

But consider this a personal apology for whatever harm Spec thinks I did. Mea fucking culpa. May we leave it at that?

plenty of times i found myself between org mgt and the users of this board, in a bad way. helpless to do much about it, so when you catch shit over it... well, doesnt do much for motivations and morale. if it wasnt for dork and antiM this board would implode, they are amazing and underappreciated.

She felt very strongly about getting rid of the offending posts and was too busy getting ready to head out to the dust to figure out how to surgically remove the snark.

The thread isn't deleted, it's moved to a quarantine area. Eventually I'll move it back minus some edits but I'm not feeling terribly motivated at the moment.

Can you guys take your grudge to the thunderdome thread or something?

the tou is bad, despite good intentions. not sure i will repeat the same explanation since its already done previously in this topic, so i will just point out what should be obvious - if you want a well functioning online community, a tou should be easy to understand and apply, with a few given relevant examples.

no point in having rules and laws that nobody really pays much attention to, especially when they dont seem all that reasonable. doesnt mean much if people dont follow them and they are not applied and enforced. doing so selectively, like now, is not using the tou how its intended.

Thanks. actually, it isn't harder to delete a post than a topic, but now and then the replies morph into a conversation and then I have to decide whether or not to keep it.

For clarification, in case j/k spots this, don't reply in the spammer thread. This one okay, but at a minimum, on topic please.
