i just watched the directors cut the other day while working.

it is a horrifying and beautiful film.

the thing i noticed is the tone, colorwise, steel, shiny, silver...metallic

this year is the Silver Jubilee of Burning Man and hence a list from one of the popular guides to that sort of thing...

25th
Silver.
25th Anniversary Contemporary/Modern Gift:
Silver.
25th Anniversary Gemstone:
Silver, for its radiance and brilliance.

Some alternatives: Tsavorite, Green Garnet.
25th Anniversary Color:
Silver.
25th Anniversary Flower:
Iris

If you want to give a rose symbolic of the silver

and of course, the obvious reference to fritz lang's masterpiece, Metropolis, where everything seems to be made of metal.

Silver is neither black nor white, not even grey, because grey does not sparkle or shine.

it will also stay cool in the hot sun since it reflects.

i smell an aluminum foil revival here...

I smell science fiction.

THE FUTURE! We're all interested in the future, since that's where we're all going to spend the REST OF OUR LIVES!

I don't like the future. In the future my joints will only ache more.

Knees and Ankles?

There are ways around that.

Feet and knees today. But I don't think I want to travel for a cure. The hips and lower back could be problematic.

I should hold out for the Futurama future and be a head in a jar.

Remember Dark City, where all the buildings reconfigured themselves overnight? Very German Expressionist:

Do you have your head in a jar every year?

Garbage truck art car... containing lost souls, vague expectations, broken hearts, bizzare relationships, and........

Garbage truck art car...containing putrid, reeking, rotting trash, playing polkas, waltzes and Michael Jackson B-sides...

Garbage truck art car... picking up other art cars and carrying them away...

Garbage truck art car... just an idea....
