registering the frequency - you sure? thats the first i ever heard of that.

Some of the fire art uses radio control (or something) I think I read it on the main website.

My brother is the lead engineer at Castle Creations and writes much of the software, microcode, etc. for their brushless speed controls. I convinced him to go to Burningman for the first time this year which wasn't hard since he wanted to go anyway. He'll be flying some really incredible glowing electric planes at night along with some 1/8th brushless cars that will blow your socks off (like 0 to 70 MPH in about 1.5 seconds). You can ask him stuff through his work address (but make it short because he's super busy right now preparig for Burning Man and trying to get his work stuff done). I know that I am a little late, but I wanted to say that If you are the same group that was flying a rc plane at night, I loved it. I brought a small RC plane this year with a small HD camera on it. It back turn down the volume and enjoy. Skip to 12:30 for smooth sloping above the man.

How high was your max altitude, and do they have a restriction on how close you can get to the city? Would have loved to see a neighborhood flyover...
