Clearly, no attempt was made to accommodating every possible school of thought.
I'm not going next year in protest of this theme. The hell if I'm contributing my ticket money to support this intolerable new direction the event has headed. I say we ALL boycott Burning Man because of next year's theme!

personaly i beleave in evolution and dont beleave in creation or god or any of that hog wash.
but...
you are 100 percent correct. burning man is suposed to represent acceptance of all. most people would think people who beleave in creation dont beleave in acceptance. i was raised as a hardcore lutheran christian and we accepted people who didnt beleave because some things could have been lost in translation. i may now try to incoperate some non evolutionary theme in our theme camp next year

In my opinion "Evolution" does not necessarily apply to the theory of evolution, Look the word up in a dictionary; one definition is as follows:
"a process of gradual, peaceful, progressive change or development, as in social or economic structure or institutions. "
I feel like this is truly what direction the BM is headed for and is very much in keeping with what the community stands for.
Step back, take a deep breath... it seems like alot of people are just looking for ways to be critical. I admit that 08 was my first year so my perspective may be different, but if all of the old school burners give up on us then who will be there to help us 'evolve' into the kind of community that you can be proud to be a part of?
