what type of social vocabulary do you have?

what sexual preference, if any?

what "social looseners" do you use if any?

political persuasion?

are you from 'round here, or very recent transplant, or alien?

are you as free as the Jay-Bird or a Never-Nude?

Vegetarian? Great White Hunter?

actually, there are SO MANY GREAT CAMPS out there it would be difficult to choose, but if you visit PlayaMatch.com, and enter a few things about you and your friends, i'm sure that the PlayaLogo-rhythm will put you someplace where you feel comfortable and Joyous, and dont want to hang yourself or anything like that.

Any camp associated with the Terminal Village automatically warrants a Top 10 mention. Seriously, the Booby Bar is the most hospitable camp on the playa, IMHO...but of course I'm just a little bit biased...not that I'll apologize for that.

I'm curious if anyone would have a Top 10 list of camps to avoid....

This is burningman. I'm sure someone has that list. It would be interesting to compare a few of those lists, becasue my guess is that they are idiosyncratic.

I'm not sure how you might define "top", but if you're looking for the inner esplanade camps that are well organized and have been around for a long time, its quite a bit late to be looking. Most of the well-known theme camps have closed their lists months ago.

But don't fret, you'll have just as much fun with any community where you feel you are part of something that is greater than the sum of the parts. Alternatively, even camping by yourself can be just as much fun, if not more, than joining a theme camp.
