This was my first Burn and thus my first CT ride . . . so here's my two centavos worth:

I thought that it was a great thing and something I hope to do every year. It was really beautiful to see women find their bravery and be willing to bare themselves (some only just at the last minute before getting on their pedals).

I loved having the menfolk cheer us on (and no, Ressaw - I am not 22 any longer, and I don't have big/false implanted boobs - are you a plastic surgeon or just a pornhead?).

Yes, some of those cheering menfolk are supporting us and the freeing of ourselves and the philosophy of the ride . . . and yes, others are cheering to see unclothed tits. But so what - I personally rather enjoyed having folks cheer for my girls, whether they're motivated from the brain or the balls.

I do agree that it would be considerate and helpful if the cheering dudes just wouldn't do it in the path of the ride, but stayed to the side - just from a health and safety standpoint is all I'm sayin'.

The CT afterparty and whole vibe ('specially in the dust storm) was fabulous too . . . it would be sad indeed to lose this event due to whining and kvetching.

Sure, it sucks that a lot of the men don't follow the rules, but then, was Burning Man ever about rules?

Maybe instead of complaining, you should put together your own ride.

When I arrived, they had no more event schedules so I missed my favorite burning man event, critical tits. It was quite lame having no idea what was going on. Not the experience I had previous years with a functional schedule.

So don't worry girls, I'm sure this is a trend of ineptitude that will continue. Unfortunately, the frat boy network of which I am not a part seems to be strong. Perhaps with less awareness the polite gentlemen were not there to stave off the hoards of retards with their rabid grapevine.

It is a shame these boys can't be respectful. To me it is like observing something sacred with reverence. The female form is so beautiful and on a bike nude pedaling across the playa, your curvy bodies are poetry in motion.

Girls, also keep in mind what a great world service you provide. I remember the first year I saw your ride. By the end of it I really didn't care about tits anymore. It was incredible to me. I never thought such a thing possible. The effect wore off a week or so after the Burn, but for a magic time, tits were irrlevant to me and you were people I could talk to without being hypnotically drawn to your chest (not our fault, it is an anatomical neon sign that can't normally be ignored!) It is the withholding that makes men crazy.

Any women who would like to continue this desensitizing exercise are invited to Eugene, Oregon where it is legal for a woman to be topless in public any time she wants! Just help us out by posting your intention to be there.

I joined in with the other goddesses at the CT this year and it was amazing, although it felt kinda weird at first with all those men - some as old as my father! ooodling our girls, I felt ever so confident because we are goddesses.

I took more of the cheering as "right on!" and "thank you!" rather than "Yeah hot stuff!". I think I gave more high fives to passer by'ers than ever. However, I found there to be lots of video cams going. I dont mind really, you see one or two sets you see them all right? But I just dont see why one must videotape the CT. To brag to all your friends who didnt come? To air in the next frat boy party? Im sure many will probably view it once and never again until the next.

Its like the naked men out there, (again old enough to be my father) Ive seen them all and it just doesnt phase me.

I say dont publish the CT run, perhaps mention the day and have people play a game of trying to find the event. The women can spread the word as long as we make a secret goddess oath not to tell any men, because with 35000+ people, word can get out there fast.

See at next years CT run, its such a beautiful event!

I was telling a femenist freind of mine about Critical Tits, hoping that this mass demonstration of female empowerment might be the straw that finally got her to go to Burning Man. Her response was, "That just objectifies women." I have always hated this argument, largely because I don't understand it. First off, what the hell does that mean, anyway? Does it mean that if I see your nipple then you suddenly become an object? I've seen several nipples and the women they were attached to never turned into "objects." I think it is very insulting to women to suggest that they are incapable of retaining their humanity without being fully clothed.
Certainly she didn't mean objectify as in:

Certainly she wouldn't object to giving objective reality to women, although I think this would be closer to the truth. Critical Tits has definitely helped me to see women more objectively.This idea that looking at a breast somehow harms the owner of the breast is ridiculous. I don't understand why a femenists who normaly objects to most double standards embraces the one that says that big hairy man-boobs are okay, but women's breasts are obscene. In my opinion, the (human) female body is one of nature's most beautiful creations, and the breast one of the most beautiful and fascinating parts. Telling women that they have to cover their breasts is like telling a museum to put a tarp over the best art.

I don't agree.
I think even tourists and gawkers are welcomed.
The question is how many of them are there ... abit of tourists can be fun.
In fact many tourists become return the nest year and become members.
