Wattos needs Jedis!

Attention all Star Wars fans, Wattos Junk yard has needs for more participants who are strong with the force.

I think we have a good placement around 3:00, and our camp has room for more.

Every night, we will be having some light saber battles and there are star wars like minded camps all around, so it should be a rip roaring tattoine good time.

Wattos activity: mostly evening.

Wattos provides: Light sabers, Music, some chairs, a shade structure. Power, a video projector, and a small tesla coil.


Wattos food: none. Cook your own food.

Wattos shower: none. Bring your own shower.

Wattos camp politics: none. Radical self reliance people!

Well, yes.

In 2005, I did 1000 light sabers.
In 2006, I did 5000.

This year 11,000

1. I was a lonely kid and had few friends to play with. So I am making up for a lost childhood by having everybody play.
2. It is performance art.
3. Violence is innate in humanity, this battle allows a non-descructive way to express it.
4. The changing of colors, and the arbitrary assignments of light saber participants to specific philosophies, home planets, or power elemnts, leaves everone somehow related to the person they are parlaying against. It demonstrates the absurdity of xemophobia.
5. There are joys in dancing with the lights, or zooming at full speed on a bicycle with the sword in hand, swooping it past two hippies that are tripping their brains out, laying on the ground and watching the stars.
6. To piss off Adrian of Piss Clear. Commercial my butt!

You folks ROCK! 11,000.. WOW.. I am at a loss for words. I wish I wasn't injured so I could take part. Maybe another alterabled person would be willing to meet me in battle. If not I will be sure to come by and watch the wonderful show you all put on.

my friend and i really want to participate int he jedi battle. he is worried about the light saber though. what kind of light sabers do you have? should we get our own , we were thinking so but didnt know if this was going to be an all out battle with the hard light sabers or the kind that retract into themselves? he is really into this kind of stuff and has done jedi battles before so he just wants to be prepared.....im excited too!

I had no context to reference, but that comment seemed to come out of nowhere, with thousands of people already battling it up in front of the Man and plenty of kids out there. Come on, I know there were less than 11,000 kids at Burning Man this year, some adults gotta get in on it too!
