I know that there's already a topic for this in another forum, but this is a problem, and it's growing quite quickly.

To repeat, response times for this BBS are bad now and getting worse rapidly. It does not matter whether I'm browsing from work (2 bonded T1s) or from home (512kbps DSL).

I do. Also on fast connections at work and at home.

Seems to be directly related to the number of users logged in, but I
could be wrong about that.

I didn't want to start a new post and this one is pretty close to my experience of late. Starting at 4:30 am Central, 2:30 Pacific I've noticed some lag on posting to random sections of the eplaya. Fast forward to just a few minutes ago and I'm having trouble getting my profile changes to save. I can open a new browser window and sail right on to any other website I want to it's not a Roadrunner ISP problem or browser /cache /gremlin problem.

Is anyone else running into this?

I too have been noticing the lack of speed. Not so much from my machines behind my firewall though. It's rather wierd.

Latency on this board comes and goes, -sometimes it is quite bad. I have yet to notice any patterns such as # of users, times, etc.

It was a little bitchy about 10:40 PST of that helps

I was going to post a great reply to Bob's bible post in the tattoo thread but the system just timed out and never took the post. That was at 6:20 am Pacific...and it's been a typical experience lately. I usually give up and just do something else or leave the website alltogether.

I've been just going back and fourth from eplaya and phpbbs and they seem to both have the same response time.

I'm begining to think somethings up.

Somebody working on something or something?

Our server went a little batty, and the tech guys are working on it. We are currently sharing the mail server, which gets pounded on occasion. I'm told we're moving the mail off of this server soon, which will ease the load considerably, but was not given a specific time.
