If there's room, how about a New You parlor with scary robot arms and lasers?

Y'know, with some tubing and jointed arms, the New You Parlor could be the bar. Each arm has a different alchohol, and you place the bottles in such a way that gravity pumps the booze for you.

I've been an AVID Logan's Run fan my whole life and even still have costumes as it's been a favorite for Halloween. The women's are actually quite easy to make as are (obviously) the Sandman costumes.
My hand jewel was a blinkie ring with the ring part broken off, spirit gummed to my palm, but that was way back before all the websites that now have blinke stuff--I'm sure there's something better now.

You know in Mexico, I think it's the Mayans who have a religious festival where four people are tied by their ankles to the top of a great rotating structure, and as they spiral around this structure they are lowered slowly to the ground.

Just wanted to say that the plans for this camp look really cool, even though I can only remember seeing parts of the film and don't remember the carousel at all.

Being a DJ I would love to play in a space like this, though if I was to be a part of it then I'd rather have a bigger involvement than just that... living in the UK might hinder that, or maybe not? I don't know... this is going to be my first burn and I'm looking for camps to get involved with so I'm just putting the feelers out at the moment.

If I don't get involved with this one then I'll certainly be paying you a visit! Good luck!

We are still seeking camp participants (even if you don't want to physically camp with Carousel.

There will be 1 or 2 big parties. There will be additional deep playa parties at the 'giza pyramid'. The dome will be open for hanging out and things like yoga classes, etc. during the day. We hope to have a sci-fi movie every night at 8pm.

We need a group that will be responsible for the set-up and running of the bar. We will be happy to contribute to the bar supplies. If your group would commit to just a single night that would be great.

Full camp member/participants are also needed. We are trying to set this up is such a way as to not detract from our peoples playa wanderings and activities.

It is absolutely critical that ALL the people that are camping with us register on the KKBM06 Google group http://groups.google.com/group/KKBM06. This is a highly organized and professional camp that has been doing the ‘Burn’ for a while. There needs to be a head count ASAP and the camp plan is being developed. You need to get on this right away as decisions are being made now and you should be a part of that process. It is here where you will find support for BRCBC concepts and participation.

There is no official bar, other than one that will be set up at each event…not your responsibility…unless you want to pick a party and do that party.

Nola Slag and his team will build the dual camp shower and evap pit.

The village is big...maybe 75+ people including all that are coming from NY, UK, Denver, CO Springs and SF, not including you guys.

The camp is using ‘Carousel’ as it’s theme for this year, so it involves partially compromising my vision for the total good. The main mission of the camp is to give away close to a metric ton of costumes on the playa. We get 1st crack at it all!!!!

The Colorado Springs costume/art/dome people are supplying a fair amount of costumes and need to work with the Denver guys to get them trucked out. 80 boxes are coming from NY.

The fundraiser for NYC will be held on either the 28th or 29th of July and you should come if you can. I can house a few people. DnB monster, Proppa Bear will be coming in from New Orleans to spin and will be camping with us for his 1st burn.

ON Playa Camp Parties>>>

1st Crack Party – Tuesday
Rage’s Goth/Industrial Party – Wednesday
KK Camp Party – Carousel/Last Day – Thursday
Colorado DnB Party - Tuesday or Friday.

The mobile (deep playa) events can be whenever. There is also a morning chill groove DJ setup starting Wednesday provided by the UK dudes (3 32ft. RVs worth of ‘limeys’). Truck coming from SF for DJ stage and to help you transport your stuff. I will bring lights and the big system…remarkably cheap on NYC Container truck. Dome is gold in color, about 30ft. diameter, not sure about the 36ft. one yet. We will not be needing to build the 44 ft. one so expenses have dropped radically. Also, some talk that the village will also house Camp Power Exchange, providing electrical power for the whole village!

There will be some minor form of camp dues… but it’s likely to be small.

Is Jonathan - DJ ((Diverse)) kinda leading the Denver Crew? Has a bunch of dnb dj's like Meanstreak, Meka-One, Onket, Serve One and Rapid MC???

From what I understand Diverse is organizing the denver possie. Meanstreak and Serv1 will be joining us. Colorado dnb is going to rock the playa this year!

Arrive at BM for the Official Gate Opening

Good news… It looks like there are a lot of people who want to arrive for the 12:01 gate opening also. We are planning on adding a second bus to leave Reno on Sunday night to be there for the official opening. These are luxury buses like the ones that go to Atlantic City. I believe that they have video so that we can have Sci-fi movies playing to get you in the mood.

We are working on securing shopping excursion vans for supplies…but no concrete info as of yet.

It now looks like 2 buses from Reno to BRC and 1 bus returning.

I would have a couple of RV's with me so I don't know if this would fit in your plans but still wanted to see if you needed any help setting up on Monday etc. We come with skills...bow hunting skills, numbchuck skills...

We have more campers than space provided by BMorg.

Those of us that are arriving early will be setting up a KK Camp Annex close by (a street or two in from our location). Who wants to head this location up?

I know that some people will actually prefer this to being physically located by the main Espanade location.
