Actually, Christian extremists are pointing fingers at Burning Man being a Satanic Holiday. This is an older page and I'm sure it's already found a link here on Eplaya, but I'm Christian with Buddhist leanings and I found this website just a little disturbing that this guy missed the message so badly.

I for one am a Christian who has had the burning man experience. I guess I never thought of it as a religious experience, but found it an extremely pleaset one.The atmosphere, friendships (friendly aquaintances) the positive power in the air that I felt everywhere I traveled on the playa. Damn....what a place to be. Damn....what an experience to have said I have had. I was asked just today.....what is it that you liked so much that it makes you miss it? I was left blank, were do you start, how do you explain? 2004 was my first, the webcast for 2005 helped to sooth the pain of not being there.....2006 look out cause I am armed with knowledge. Knowledge of who I am and knowledge that I can be that person for a week and not be judged, and the knowledge to know that I am not alone!!! Well ok, nuff said..................thanks for being here.

I tried to make something like this point in another thread a while back. I think I killed that thread. But still, I not only believe Burning Man offers Christians a great opportunity to interpret their faith and set themselves to the essential Christian project of recovering innocence, but that the event itself is culturally and religiously Christian in several dimensions.
