but this just feels so...(not weird, but...)...it just feels....foreign...
yet not foreign...and if I think too much about it....or if I try to

Change is hard. Honesty is hard. Trying to undo the bad habits and damage of yourlife time thus far is hard. Sometimes you mess up bigtime.
When you do, it's good to have someone who will call you on your sh*t. And then if that someone will listen to your story about it and "get" what you were trying to do before it when wrong and respond with compassion for your basic humanity, that's even better.
