I thought i'd create a new topic as a place to share stories and ideas for those of use who lived in the burner hostel theme camp during the 10 days or so in 2004, and for those who think they might stay here again this year. The is gonna be a black rock burner hostel this year isn't there??

The jacuzzi bus is currently undergoing a major overhaul. She'll be even better for this coming year.

Hey, Daddy-O. I had a great time hanging with you and hope you got the axe out of your back. Thanks for all the battery charges at the BRIBH camp. Our mutant vehicle el wire would not have made it without you.

Did you ever can the human soup from your hot tub on the bus? There have to be pervs that will pay good money for that stuff. Drop me a PM sometime and tell my how your job thing worked out in the end.

P.S.- Got a nice e-mail from Hagey the other day. All is well and he was schoozing at BM headquarters in San Francisco. I love that man and want this year to be his best burn ever.

Talking to the Hag man it seems there will be but...

It took a LOT out of the guy and he went in debt to the tune of around $5000. This year he's talking about making it EXCLUSIVELY for those people coming in from out of the country to attend the event. Something about setting personal boundaries.

Fair Enough too, Haggys a wonderful guy, he's made a lot of dreams come true Helping firstimers get out there, it was sad to see him so stressed,

I'll be back this year, So if ya guys need help with anything give me a yell, Though i dunno if ill camp at the hostel, im always happy to swing by and give a hand :)

Maybe a good use for this thead is working out ways we can help haggy organise the Burner hostel but take the weight off of his sholders?

I'm likely going to join Kernul Killbuck at the new Camp Apokiliptika this year. I feel guilty about the idea of taking the Mutant Vehicle with me since there was so much work done by hostel members to make it happen, so I have started a new thread with an idea to make it fun for everyone. Well, we trying to come this year flying in from guatemala, and have convinced some other friends from all over the world to come too... Had to think for a minute to remember who you were. TOO much playa-dust and soot clouds my brain sometimes.

After checking your site, I see that I should have applied 'paddle-logic' more often last year. FORGOT TO CHECK THE OIL? = Major Paddle Time.

If this, or other similar, infractions occur in your new camp this year -- feel free to threaten them with Me & My Paddle. Perhaps a visit early in the week to address last year's OIL situation will be a Visual Aid for your fellow mechanics...LOL.

I just submitted my art car application. The plan is to register the bus with the DMV so we can cruise around the playa.

Looks great. Good luck with the art car ap. All the GFI sockets in the world still make me cringe when I see those cables near the water.

I'm guessing your dressing them, yes?
