here's to finally getting my ass in gear...

That's right folks, it's time for The Return of the Dawn of the Six Minute Players! Bob and I, the same crazy duo that brought RHPS back to the playa in 05, are just stupid enough to do it again.

We'll have a new home "stage" this year (and by stage I mean large dust area) at our new theme camp, Camp 9 from Outer Space. viewtopic.php?t=12900

So what do we need from you? You! All we need is a cast! The vision is to be as close to the original audience experience as possible, not to be screen accurate! This means making do with whatever we find for props, using and abusing the audience as much as possible, and just having fun.

Any returning Six Minute Players, please sign on again this year! You blew me away last year!!! The talent, the commitment, the brilliant improvisation... you can whip it all out again, right?

Anyone end everyone else who wants anything to do with this show - please write me! Just send me a PM telling me who you'd like to play or what you'd like to manage, any prior experience (sooo not required), anything else we should consider.

I'll post updates as the cast comes together. Since we have a home camp this year rehearsal is a possibility, so if we schedule one I'll let you know.

Less than two weeks to go, so here is my impassioned plea to you, my fellow Rocky-Shocky-Burners:

Please join our cast? Please? You don't have to have any experience or even a very good working knowledge of the film!

You've got 'em. Is this the Dr. Scott with real working wheelchair? Koosh I've adored you online since last year so if you want to join my cast you're more than welcome!

I'll post updates soon soon soon about whether or not we're having rehearsal.

Whoever was PMing me about Columbia: Entropy, was it? Try to email me! I've still got you cast in that role but a lot of people are interested and I just want to confirm!

And a lesson from last year: we'll need understudies so if you see that "your" role is taken, please still show up, in costume! At best we put you in, and at worst you're in costume and yelling and riling up the audience, yeah?

Actually.... trixie's covered. This is how weird I am about this: I'm willing to give up Frank if someone wants it, but not Trixie. That said, please come anyway, ready to go, becuase last year I was so sick at showtime I didn't think I'd make it! So, trixie understudy/transylvanian?

Hmmm, mylarry did an excellent Riff ages ago in Japan, but has since grown a very full beard. Can Riff have a beard? I actually know the criminologist lines most of the time. Don't really have costumes on hand anymore, but I suppose we could inmprovise something. Oh, and we do have a wheelchair ...

Trouble is, I hate to say yes please! as I'm supposed to be the matron of honor at a wedding Friday and they haven't said when or where precisely, although I'm thinking midnight should not be too much of a problem.

Friday at midnight right? well, we can make this work (fingers crossed) if nothing else, we can BE there.

I already had my apron, my feather duster, a robe-ish thing for Dinner Scene, and my takeover wig (yay!); I'm bringing gold satin jammies for space suits (whoever does Riff can wear the bottoms if he wants - I'll bring safety pins to make 'em fit - as long as he promises not to freeball in 'em).

Brilliant! Space suits and wig hooray!!!!!! And hell yes Riff can have a beard, last year Frank had tits and Rocky had blue dreads! Redoing castlist with these changes. Oh and don't worry about the wheelchair, M, our Dr. has his own!
