Hi from The Netherlands !

Hey everyone! My name is Joost and I'm one of the lucky bastards to get a ticket for this year :-). It will be my first time and I'm planning on making it a good one. I play in a Brazilian percussion band and I'ld like to get a Samba / Brazialan Percussion Band going on the playa aswell. So if you play drums, samba or similar: let's get in touch!!!
I've also got some plans for a little installation on the playa that I just might build....
Looking forward to meeting you out here !

Welcome! You won't have any trouble finding brother and sister drummers on the playa!

and, yep, I'm on the NL regional. Having drinks again this thursday and meeting lost of nice people, welcoming burners from around the globe in Amsterdam and exchanging ideas for art, installations, action and fun :-)

I'll be in Amsterdam in mid Aug after the London Olympics, I'd enjoy meeting any Burners or Birgins there... I am going to miss "That Thing In The Desert" this year but will get to experience the Dalurinn Festival in Iceland before the Olympics !!

Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Nice that you're coming over to Amsterdam!
You'll be very welcome at the monthly Amsterdam Purning Pubs. More burners from abroad have joined occasionally and have found a place to sleep or a group to out with through the Amsterdam burner community. Best have a look here and post a message upfront:

shucks, I would have enjoyed meeting you but I hope to meet any Burners or wanna b's when I am there, any particular pub and days that they meet ??..
I won't be at my Spenard Bar Camp but be sure to stop by Barbie Death Camp, unfortunately I won't be passing out duck farts and smoked salmon there this year...
