First time burner from Florida

First time burner from Florida

Postby jpeyton » Tue Feb 14, 2012 9:51 am

Howdy ePlaya,

Just a quick note to share I am very much looking forward to attending BM for the first time this year. This is something I have wanted to do for many years (over 10) now but just havent been able to.

Curious are there any other attendees from Florida? I researching Theme Camps and I am open to any suggestions...

Cheers.

Yes, there are a lot of Florides...(Floridians?) Many have begun threads in this subsection of eplaya, if you want to poke around.

You don't have to go with a theme camp, although with the expected shortage of able and willing campers this year might bring you extra opportunities.

Hi JPeyton! :D

It's definitely good to check out the Florida section of Regionals on the main site (small print, towards the top right of the homepage), but many people join theme camps with folks from all over. If you can't contribute towards a local build before the Burn, contributing money and work hours on the playa are pretty standard. So don't let it stop you from looking at any camp in the 2012 Theme Camps forum, or in the Theme Camps section of the main site, especially in a month or two after the ticket situation starts evolving a little more, and people can plan. If you see a camp that resonates with you, send them a little letter about yourself, what you have to offer, and why a specific camp appeals to you.

You can also camp "alone"--you will have neighbors immediately!

you have beautiful eyes :) welcome~
