Coming out of lurkdom...

Coming out of lurkdom...

Postby BirthChazz » Thu Feb 09, 2012 8:59 pm

I have been lurking since September, but thought I would become official.

Last year I helped my friend buy supplies and pack. I had vivid dreams all that week about the dessert. I am sure sleeping in a bed with a small child and two cats draped over me, plus sand and kitty litter on the sheets helped with the sensations of dust and heat. I have no idea why I would want to wear black vinyl with hello Kitty on it all week, but that is what my subconscience decided to give me to wear. My friend came back tan and overflowing with happiness. I stood there looking at him, and suddenly I was insanely jealous of the week he spent in the desert, so jealous I wanted to hit him. No amount of great parking in the Mission could ever compare to his joy, and so I made a promise to myself- "next year, I am going."

Many thanks for letting me lurk for months and read, learn, and laugh. I could not think of a better theme than fertility for my first year.

Warmly,

BirthChazz

I lurked for several months before I spoke up too. By the time I got up the nerve to post I felt like i'd known all these crazy people my whole life lol. I kept forgetting they didn't know me.

Welcome to eplaya! Your avatar is very interesting. I bet there will be quite a few people pondering that one.
Why yes, that IS a shit eating grin under that mask.

Thank you JK and Tamara :D

Yes, exactly. I was beginning to get to know people, and look for favorite posters without having introduced myself. So I thought I would take the plunge.

I know the avatar is a little over the top, but I have several great photos that are not fit for FB or G+, and I thought I might as well begin the way I plan to go on. Be the real me up front. I hope it is not too off putting.

Warmly,

BirthChazz

Hey Birthchazz, we need to introduce you to Stitch. Her avatar shows her firing a revolver on a target range. (At least, I assume it was a target range.)

You have done well by reading and learning. Now you can jump right in without asking the most basic questions. Welcome! :D

Many thanks for the warm welcome!

I would love to see the art grant application for Outdoor Burlesque Geek Pin-ups, perhaps a whole exhibit.

I would not be so bold as to use the nickname Fishy myself, but am quite pleased to follow along :)

My nickname is Chazz (or Chazzy if you are feeling friendly, Chaz-Batz if you are my Father).

Looking forward to joining the fun, both here online and in the dust.

Warmly,

Chazz

I like this.
Sort of an interesting area.

I can tell you what happens when you block the only entry road into an international airport for an hour.

And what happens when you lean into a plane before boarding and call out, "Fedihl!, Achmed!".
Try that one.

Even more interesting is the things you can do without security showing up.

Well, I have quite a head full of fun facts. Some related to my professional life, some just for fun.

If you pull off at SFO before the actually exit and wait, the real police will come to ask if you are having car trouble, tell you you are sitting at the end of a runway, and ask you to move along

and

I also know that is takes one can of reddiwip to fill a men's size 13 low boot.

For even more "fun", try that with a four foot length of six inch black plastic drain pipe (resembling a surface-to-air missile) in the back seat!

VERY good to know about the whip cream. Kendoll had better be a bit more careful about annoying me now!

I love your picture by the way. It is exactly the sort of picture needed with a crazy place like this. You are going to do well here :D

You have 20 minutes, (even enough time for whatever Ygmir has in mind  which is time for 6 great pictures, with three minor costume changes. And you get to be annoying by agreeing to cover up and then putting on the tiniest shrug ever, and continuing to take pictures (unfortunately they are not any good, because the expression on your face is now irritation, which is not a sexy look for most people).

The airport police are FAST, you have about 3 minutes.

Thanks for the reminder about sunscreen, I regularly use liquid sweater (50 and above) to preserve that level of fish belly white . It will be even more of a challenge in the desert. I will need constant reapplication (and lots of friends)

Warmly,

Chazz

Thank you! Tips on using the board always appreciated!

I have _no idea_ how much dry oatmeal you would need to cook to fill a size 13 boot. But I think I might miss the swhswhsswh noise you get from the reddiwip can.
