Hello, Everyone!

I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina near Asheville. I found out about Burning Man through a friend, James Lanning, who has been to the event. He said it was awesome.

A little about myself. First off, I am a member of the New Order of Druids and a member of the Eastern Native Tree Society. I am a very nature-oriented person. I found the Burning Man immediately interesting since it reminds me of the Wicker Man effigies mentioned in texts concerning the ancient druids. It's neat this legacy lives on, though fortunately without the human sacrifices.

In short. I just want to say " hello " to everyone here!

With all of the trees and assorted plant life in Black Rock City, you should feel right at home.

I am surprised they are any trees in Black Rock City. Unless people bring them or in a sense " become " the trees themselves.
