Hello all!

I've been lurking here since before the last Burn and I thought I'd finally introduce myself. Last year was my first year going to Burning Man and .... wow. It was pretty amazing. I felt like I could have done a whole lot more, though - I'm one of those shy people and especially in new situations I hold back. I've finally come to the realization that waiting around for things to happen leads to a lot of ... waiting around. This year I'm going to do what I should have done the first year and get out and really be a part of things.

I'm coming from Arizona with my friend who I went with last year and this year I get to bring my most awesome cousin-in-law with me. We're camping with Cats! Cats! Cats! at 7:40/I ... come by and say hello ... or meow!

Can't wait to head out to the playa!

We're still debating whether we want to leave late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

You will have a 5 to 6 hour line at the end of a very long drive, I did that last year and was on the road 28 hours.

Going saturday night will let me stop somewhere and get 8hrs of sleep before faceing that entry line.

My friend really wants to leave Sat night and stop somewhere and rest but we're just not sure we're going to be ready. Where are you stopping for the night?

We've been talking about it this morning and we're really thinking about trying to get up to the Vegas area and crashing someplace up there.

If you're anywhere around our camp (7:40/Initiation), come by and say hi - my group will be in the hexayurts.

Hey, if you get a chance, feel free to post AZ Burners stuff over on Regionals & Events. We had a huge influx of new members to the site this 'season' and it'd be great to help as many as possible get connected with the awesome stuff happening near them
