While I did not know much about Burning Man until a couple of months ago what I heard intrigued me. So I began my research into what Burning Man is all about the more I read the more I began to fall in love with the idea. Now that I have finally saved up the money I will be going to this year. I will be going solo and with a very vague idea of the experience. Any knowledge that you have and willing to share would be greatly appreciated.

Make lots of dreamcatchers and bring them as gifts for naked dudes.
They will wear them on thier dicks and you could probably take thier pics.

On my girlfriend's first year at BRC, she brought several bags full of dreamcatchers and those little indian headresses
made from beads and safety pins.
Her mom had made them as a hobby for many years.
I could show pics of what they were used for and where they went....but I have a thing
about not posting child porn even if it is considered art.

Did you go to the rainbow gathering in arkansas this year?
There are regionals every year.

oneeyeddick I have already started to make my dreamcatchers and plan on passing them out to whom ever catches my eye.
gyre no I did not go to rainbow gathering had not heard of until you just now mentioned it. But I am trying to find some local veterans to talk to face to face so I can see the excitement in their face and hear it in their voice.
Also I know that BM is all about self reliance but I am looking for transportation as at the moment I have none. I will be willing to take a bus to a city to meet up with people but have no way of making the desert trek.

Remember to pace yourself with partying and gifting. My buddy spent the off year making necklaces and charms from glass and had a blast giving them out.

Dreamcatcher, if you have a regional gathering, then you must have a regional group. You can find them on the main Burning Man site, or just Google "burning man arkansas", and you'll get results. I'm going to my virgin Burn this year, and my local group has invited me to travel and camp with them. Chances are, you can get a similar offer.

I have actually will be going with a group of friends that I did not know were going to BM until 2 days ago. Thank you for your help in finding a way there but now it seems I have 6 different cars to chose to ride in.
