NOT a BUG but re missing avatars where to post?

Hi, I love AVATARS, last years spent many hours just looking at eplaya avatars. this year there are many many little red x's. WHY?
I uploaded a new one, and I change them often as mood allows, but how to get the many missing eplaya avatars back?
Is this a glitch on my pc? or Eplaya? or do the eplaya masses of little red x's need a message to re upload the awesome little pics? if so where is best place to reach out to those who care?
