I just received a spam email encouraging me to forward an email allegedly from Microsoft. You get some specific amount ($245..00 (sic)) of Bill Gates' fortune for every person you forward the email to. They have some means to track it and you get a check in the mail.
The first time I got this spam email was TEN YEARS AGO. No shit, 1997, and it had probably been around a few times at that point. I cannot believe it's still in circulation! LOL!
The other one I completely loved but actually haven't seen in a few years is the one about the guy that wakes up to find his kidneys have been removed and all he remembers is meeting some hot chick who escorts him to a party. Forward to everyone you know who travels! it might save their lives! HA! Some versions had brilliant details, like the guy is left in a bathtub full of ice with the words "CALL 911!" scrawled across his chest in red lipstick, and of course the 911 operator knows exactly what has happened.
... cyber legends ... gotta love 'em!
