It's an auction and needs a tank, but it's reused and natural gas makes it fairly green.

Jeez, what the hell is anyone gonna do with a 6k genny that puts out 27 VDC??

Don't bother bidding, you're gonna want 120 VAC or 240 VAC, or both.
Too much is not enough, and when in doubt double it.

Could be good for a lot of art projects. I just thought it was interesting. There are a lot of things that run off DC. We had a 12v DC thread around here somewhere.

Ha, was wondering what the original use for it was myself. 24v battery charging on electric vehicles? There are big inverters that run off 24vdc, could get your 110AC that way but still...

Lessee... if you could split it or drop it to 13.6 volts (about right forradio gear) you'd have 12 KW available. Low voltage lighting for days... or untl the propane gave out.

Sounds like a backup for either a cell site or mil-spec stuff - maybe even a power supply for aircraft or somesuch...

Yeah. There ya go. Start your own cell phone service on the playa this year!!
