Cheap Flights from Dublin/Uk/Amsterdam to RENO - Any Advice?

Postby Omnidexter » Wed Nov 22, 2006 4:51 am

Hey all! My first & subsiquently last burn was 2005. I payed about 1,000 euros to get flown from Dublin - Philidelphia - SF, then got a train to Reno.

..I was just wondering if anyone could suggest a less expensive option to get directly to Reno from either a UK airport, Amsterdam or Dublin.

I've heard people are doing this from around the 500 euro mark!! So let's see it!

Much love.

watch the airlines, and buy in advance -

BA has flights to seattle pretty cheap. I have gotten Return airfare as low as 229.00 USD esch way from Heathrow - Seattle. and a domestic flight from Seattle to Reno is as little as 39 bucks on SouthWest Airlines.

good luck.

Try travelsupermarket (http://www.travelsupermarket.com/travelmerge/travelsearch.aspx?package=4) for flights from the UK. As your not fussy about which airport you fly from you might be able to find reasonable flight prices. You can also keep flight prices down if you can be a little bit flexible and go a day or two earlier. I've seen flights to Reno in time for burningman for £350 or thereabouts.

Be sure to check unusual routes, although it sounds like you are.
When you fly icelandair you can stop in iceland for free.
I found flights to reno at burn time spiked, but still not bad.
You may qualify for some discounts here, coming from there.

You can fly dublin to LA with Aerlingus ( they will fly daily in the summer) and then an internal from there to Reno. Won't set you back a fortune - €384 from dublin to LAX if you booked now!!!

That's the one I hear most about. I have two friends from Ireland who catch their main route using the above and then LA to Reno via (Southwest?) airlines.

If you book early, Southwest has the best prices. $87 each way, LA to Reno. They will book up to 5 months in advance.
Those who think they can and those who think they can't are both right.

I would try to avoid LAX until thy sort out their problems.
I had a very near miss landing there.
They are doing a lot of work.

I think aerlingus are going to do a San Fran flight this summer as well so that could work as well ,i'd say it will be in or around the same price but you've have to book fairly early
