Yes paid the extra dough. But considering it was $5 for regular service it seemed like more of a bargain to go"special".Pretty cool tickets(colorful graphics with"admit one human") which will be stored in the special pencil cup in front of this computer for the next(sigh)eight months.

I got mine on Saturday. Doorbell goes "ding dong" and 2 minutes later the 14yo arrives in the room bearing the envelope. Not bad at all!

I was just wondering if anyone in the house can sign for them or is it the purchaser only?

I ordered mine on Thursday and they arrived on Monday. Kudos on the artwork!

And as to the question of who can sign for them: anyone at the address.

Got 'em!! They are poking out of my business card holder in such a way that the green guy looks like he is devouring my business. Very appopriate, considering how much of a slacker I became on returning from BM 2004.

How did the secure delivery tickets arrive? US Mail? Fedex? UPS? I am on "vacation" and have not received mine and I ordered on the 5th. ht

My secure delivery came "USPS Signature Confirm"...a housemate signed for me and the little brown cardboard flat mailer (with white label...very nondescript looking) was waiting by my door when I got home tonight. YAY!!!

I can't remember when I've ever seen such a small item be so cool with art. (OK, maybe some of the illuminated manuscripts I saw in the Vatican had more art per square millimeter....)

Our tickets came on Friday - weeeeee! We are so excited - just what a cold January day in San Francisco needed - some warmth of playa adventures to come.

Certainly these are beautiful tickets and the delivery was so on time. Congratulations to the BRC teams for making this work so well this year.

229 days and counting.

I purchased my ticket on the 16th. I got a "Burning Man Tickets Shipment Notification" email the same day.

Looks like I need to make a trip to the post office.. I wasn't here to sign for it today when they came by.

4 days, thats not bad!

i got my tickets on the 1st day of sale. they said they mailed them on the 10th. I have yet to see even the tracking number they told me show any action on the USPS website. I think on monday i'll go to the post office.

I did choose the secure delivery. Suppose they still lost them in the mail, does the fact that I didn't sign for them release me of fault and place it all on the post office? do i then get re-prints of my tickets? or do you think i would still need to buy new ones? The ticket website says that you can either get

Secure Delivery...
Regular mail (not responsible for lost tickets)

which one would then presume that they are responsible for lost tickets with the secure route. any ideas?

FINALLY!!!

Postby samdu » Mon Jan 24, 2005 10:07 am

got my tix on saturday!!!! and there was much rejoicing!!! now to find a safe place to keep them. unfortunately, my "safe place" ususally ends up being a "forgotten place" before too long. i'm convinced that if i ever find that "very safe place" where i put important things, i'll find phone numbers for people i no longer remember, about $300 dollars, concert tix that i never went to, a cat, really cool shoes...

one thing though- the tickets were better last year!!

you should probably pack them last. You need to get them out first....

I'm a little worried because my ticket has been misplaced by the post office. I went to the post office this past Saturday to pick up my ticket and I was told the mailman had my letter. I ran home and caught the mailman and he said the letter was at the post office. Yesterday I got a handwritten note in my mailbox saying, "we're sorry, we are still trying to locate your letter". Now I don't know what to think.. i'm hoping it got returned to sender or something. I about had a conniption fit. At very least i'm glad I paid the extra 10 dollars for secure delivery.. but it's still a little unnerving.
