I really feel for you. My brother, towards the end of his addiction career had all too many interfaces with law enforcement agencies ultimately resulting in a 6 month incarceration which weaned him off the substances. His probation has conditions of sobriety attached which they enforce. Should he violate those terms he will be extradited to the midwest to serve 5 years. I truly hope you are able to find the help you need and the will to succeed.

Using this thread to ask a question; if an undercover at BM asks me what I'm on, and I tell him, what are the chances of a ruined night? How deep undercover will they go? Do they educate themselves on the art and follow you back to camp, or is it pretty much "got drugs? no? ok bye." I've been doing some research, but if anyone has some experiences to share...

Being under the influence is a minor charge, but may be used as cause to search.
Never heard of that.
If you are driving and using, you're done.

Undercover varies extensively.
The best ones are out there, but not for us.
Some will be good though.

You can always spot them because they will want to trade, sell, buy or share drugs.
The answer is always, "There are drugs in Reno."

From what I can see, anything goes when the police are trying to trap you. The best rule of thumb is not to be stupid. For some people it's easier than others.
The goal of the police is to have you do something dumb enough, that they can write you a $500 ticket. You have every right to fight that ticket, but if you live on the east coast, it would be much more costly to fight that ticket--and possibly lose, than to just write the check for the fine.

The undercovers already have scanners and know what you are on when they look you in the eye, but didn't have the legal footing in place to detain anyone quite yet. In 2013 they will also implement random piss testing stations in the porto's to be able to legally prosecute you at any time. There will be a screen above the door that flashes what substances you are on when you piss in the porto. This is an advancement of the video cameras the BLM was testing in the portos this year. In 2014 they will begin phasing in the thought scanning system but I wouldn't REALLY worry about that until at least 2016. Didn't you read your survival guide?

They go so deep undercover they are often on the other side of the glory holes!!!!

Depends how good the UC is. It's not a vacuum out there, they are everywhere, they are on the hillsides with binocs and nightvision too. I am convinced that the ones you hear about that are so persistent, they will not give up, it's because they already know or highly suspect the subject has drugs in their possession. It doesn't make sense to waste hours of your day on one subject unless you are fairly certain you're going to get a collar. If they accept your no and move along, they are probably just fishing. If they stick around, they are sure you have something and will keep trying to get you to admit it.

Ever hear of "probable cause"? Answer that question & you've just given it to them (note: I've never heard of it being asked)

Illegal drugs are a Federal & state crime, Nevada is a "tough on drugs" state. You take your risks by bringing them, if you do bring them you're being an idiot if you share them.

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time, and all that.

And, to the OP: you're giving SF a bad name. You're on probation for drugs & you're the "go to" in your group to get them? As Foxfur said, maybe you should use the jail & probation to get off them, not whine about getting caught with them.

No.. The moral of the story is Don't bring illicit drugs into Nevada!....Perhaps THE Least tolerant state when it comes to drugs. If you choose to do so, don't be suprised when they aren't nice to you.

Another moral to this story. If you're on PROBATION, don't do the above mentioned! I nearly learned this the hard way...and THAT was just for drinking beer. But the unhappy place, that is jail, was enough for me to everything in my power NOT to return.

Maybe it is just me but I enjoyed BM more when I was not under the influence of anything be is a bot cookie or booze. I went and dance for 4 hours strait at booty mash up with only water in my system. I guess this only being my first year maybe i will see it differently some day, but until then... I just have never understud going out to BM and needing to be on something. It is overwelming as it is. Call me a debby downer if you must, but I enjoyed it more without them.
