About 45 minutes into my drive to Alturas, there was a bag of trash on the side of the road. I pulled over and packed it out. Thankfully there was no one behind me for miles. Fucking pig-ass M*therf*ckers. Karma is a bitch.

People don't understand a single bungee or rope across a slippery trash bag will NOT hold it on a vehicle at highway speeds. Those blue bins? Lids fly right off. Couch cushions lift and fly away. Even saw a large LoveSac (couldn't stop or that would have been ours).

Tarps help, but a basic knowledge of physics, velocity and aerodynamics would be nice.

We were washing out our RV at "the" Burner carwash in SF (10th & Harrison), when a paramedic came over to us & another RV near us. Seems some asswipes had dumped 4 bags of dusty trash on the sidewalk next to a city trash can instead of dispossing of it. The paramedic asked if we could remove it, so we took two bags & the other RV did the same, apologizing for the ass-hattery of who-ever did it.

He said "aren't you guys supposed to be 'Leave No Trace'?". Do you have any idea how bad it made us feel to have to explain that lots of people go without understanding that the basics extend all the way home?

Drove by that car wash on Labor Day and saw a gaggle of young McKayla Maroney-faced gals staring at a big pile of dusty crap they must have unloaded before cleaning their vehicle. Coincidence?

FWIW, I saw more little pieces of MOOP this year on the playa than any year previous since I've been going. Multiple times every day out there, whereas previous years I'd go days without seeing any. I picked a bunch of it up. Could be coincidence, could be the near 45% virgin attendance levels, could be I'm just killing time on a Sunday when I should be mowing the lawn. I don't know. Pissed me off, though.

Totally saw more little MOOP pieces than ever on the inner playa this year too. IF I stopped for it all I would never of made it across the damn thing...Really soured me. I did however score some cool buttons.....
Other years there is bits here and there, infrequent enough to stop and pick it up. But when it starts building up it gets overwhelming, especially the cig butts with germs on em
