SERIOUSLY! I could not believe all the psytrance out htere. I thought I was just hearing one song, over and over, from every single theme canp out there.
I like jungle. I love funky breats. The Boombox played some really good shit earlier in the week. Old school funk with old school hip hop in the new break beat style. So good.
So, yeah, if you're a DJ of a different persuasion, get yer records out there and spin something new!

keep an eye out for a theme camp from the Family crew out of Albuquerque. part of us were there this year with the "land of enchantment" camp on dubius and esplanade but i think were going for our own camp this year.

2003 we were 'Camp Playafari - Rasta on the Playa' playing DnB & roots reggae & of course some Doors, & John Denver.

2004 we'll be 'Camp Crack - All Things Crack' & our turntables will be bustin out with the same styles. Drop on by, we'll be around 3 o clock.

DSC knows how to keep the party live all night long! I'm proud to be a part of this camp and have centrifuge show me the light so to speak. I would be happy hearing jungle, reggae and classic rock the whole week. I can only take so much psy-trance, or any trance for that matter.

me and the camp kru will be playing Dnb on the daily out of our modest sound system.as of now we plan on set up in the mars & 9:15 area. All junglist and bass heads welcome.(we may have a few straight beat DJ,s in tow so be forewarned.)

last year at happy camp some euro djs came by almost every day and spun a wakeup kick ass set of dnb

this year expect the same at happy camp
to be located somewhere between 5-7 ave and jupiter

i will be spinning nu skool breaks

Boy, trance is getting a bad rap these days. I'm a dnb dj, but I'm not ashamed to say that I'm looking forward to hearing some good psychedelic trance to stomp to. I wouldn't even mind hearing some uplifting progressive trance (I draw the line at cheese-ass vocals, though). That said, I also hope to find myself in front of a huge pile of speakers having my brain torn out by disgusting, snarling bass lines and unrelenting amen drum assaults, dom and roland style.

Yay! Jungle! I wander the playa every night trying to sniff out some wicket jungle beats, but I'm usually assaulted by quite a bit of cheese-trance before I find any. DnB and disco house are also quite wonderful. For the love of god though, if I hear any happycore out there I'm gonna start throwing things at the dj.

Also, our own camp, Tranquility bass is going to have a party on Thursday night! (around Mars b/w 730-830ish). We are going to have a 6feet stage for firedancers and a great sound system. As much as I would like to try and remember what d&b is where, or what party is when, I'll just trust that my "playa sense" will lead me in the right direction. It usually does. Right? And in the past, planning to attend things out there was ultimately futile.

Because when that sweet art car drives by, you can't help but wonder where it takes you. Wait..where was I going again?
