Gift Economy that is alive and well

I hope it is ok to share this article in this forum and I apologize if it's been previously posted, but I didn't see it in any other thread. It's about a gift-based economy in Mali, and I found it really interesting. It is an older article (2009) but it was a great reminder about how living with a gift economy every day of the year is so important in holding community together.
