I just blogged my review of Scribe's book The Tribes of Burning Man:

I thought it was a great summation of our recent history, the changes that we have undergone in recent years, and the growing influence our culture is having. I appreciated that he documented all of our culture, including its rough edges and conflicts. I think we come across as well rounded, weird, fascinating, crazy and important, which is how it should be.

Has anyone else read this book? What did you think?

I am really enjoying reading the book so far. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I love being part of the next generation of Burners reading through this book, learning about some of the old veterans and the different directions everyone tried to push the event in. And now feeling like my generation is a part of the continued renaissance of this festival. A festival which none of us are going to sit back and passively ride along with.

I can't wait to step on some toes trying to turn this thing into what I want it to be :).
