There Goes the Neighborhood!

Postby Leo » Mon Apr 25, 2011 12:30 pm

I just received the May 2011 issue of Sunset Magazine. An article entitled "Camping 101" is covered on pages 66-73.

The article quotes: "Camp like a rock star. Wrangle some cattle. Splash in a waterfall, sleep under the stars. Here are the 26 best ways to have fun outdoors this summer."

Half of Page 73 covers Burning Man. Yikes! What's next? Martha Stewart Living? Conde Nast Traveler? Better Homes and Gardens?
Best Regards,
Leo

AntiM got her first tickets after seeing it covered in Via, the AAA magazine.

Please do your research. Wired Magazine did a cover story on you hippies in 1996.

If others want to enjoy BM and hear about it through a magazine, I've got no problem with that. The $300 campground fee and self provisioning is more than enough to keep out more of the riff-raff.gv

It's Leo's rite of passage.

I first heard about Burning Man in The Watchtower, thanks to some nicely dressed people who came to my door one day.

Are they promoting it now too?

Surely that's a sign of something.

I have made many wrongs of passage. The phrase "It seemed like a good idea at the time" has come in handy on more than one occasion.

What Leo said... I've got SO many stories of drunken, stoned, or tripped-out craziness, near-death experiences, brushes with the law, etc. that start out with, "Well, it seemd like a good idea at the time..."

That's why I made it my "tag line" below.

I inferred it was the publication, not the fact that the media did a story on BM. Wired, makes sense v. Martha Stewart, now that's an RV I'd want to pee in.
