I dont see a problem with these girls expressing themselves the way they want to. The issue that has come up to me is that raves used to be all about the music. Now its come down to more of a dress as slutty as you can. At one point it was a novelty to see girls like this. As you read through the comments you can see that other promoters are trying to get raves going in more public places to change the general impression that raves are all about drugs and sex back to what its supposed to be.

While 2011 will be my first burn, in my excitement I bring the topic up to friends and associates. Most of what I get in response is: "Isnt that a hippy thing?" "Isnt that all about drugs, sex, and naked chicks?" "Why do you want to do that?". Once I explain things to them a little better some come to terms with it but with their previous ideas about BM its hard to even get most to see it in a positive light, much less attend.

The problem isn't with the girls expressing themselves, or even that raves aren't like the good old days. It is the fact that someone did a satire piece which people are taking seriously and personally. The piece was humor and is being responded to in amazingly humorless ways. Note: I thought it was intermittently funny, but not once did I think of the women as anything other than women who had their photos used without permission. At least BMORG supposedly would have shut that down had they been burner chicks.

Same as when folks get riled up over Malcom at Burning Man.
