Hmmm.

I get free booze at most of the bars I go to (yea to being an established local "character"!), I do whatever I want most of the time, and since I mostly like boys I get to see their boobies (ie: pecs) everywhere.

Though I do get to make out with more straight boys on the playa. I love the heteroflexible!

Enough with the interwebs. I have a fetish fair to go wreck.

well........

It's my basic feeling that burningman and eplaya have been the institutions where I have met and befriended more people from more walks of life than anywhere else. Even the class one, and we know it's hard for poorer people to get there. But dammit, they are just as wonderful as those with more resources.

(Ygmir, that may be twisted into some sort of statement about you, but it's actually about the breadth of persons, I was just adding, okay?)

Edited for sense, and sorry, Ygmir, I can't fix it in your reply.

That's right, Simon, don't mention that if five of us tear our eyes out, the devil does give it back. And that's bad enough that you'll do just fine and live to sell your soul again another day.

and BTW I was only kidding with that first list. above all I value the creativity the burn seems to bring out in most people. People that otherwise would never consider themselves creative.

I like the Culture Shock, unlike culture shock of adjusting from Western to Eastern culture, or to an Island, I find it pleasant. My biggest daily dilemma might be being caught in a traffic jam with no cup. Or finding a really cool art piece in a white out and not being able to describe it to camp mates.

It was my first burn and I just got the biggest kick out of all the city & suburban people that come out to the Black Rock Desert to create another city and call it "radical self survival".

I love that every year, despite being in the same place with the same shape, Burning Man is an entirely different event. And better: every individual's Burning Man is different from every other's. If it was your worst year, someone else had a best year. If it was your most mundane, someone else had the craziest.

I love that if you actually do something according to the 10 Principles, or otherwise just be nice, you are not treated differently. If you help someone out, they don't think you're Jesus like they do in the default world. If you talk to a person serving drinks instead of treating them as a meatware vending machine, you're doing what's expected. If you open up and act exactly like you want, good for you!
Fuck you, I love you,
