New User Profile Fields

We've added a couple additional profile fields to ePlaya, for those who care to tell us a bit more about themselves. We've gained a lot of new users in recent months, many of whom are new to our site but not new to Burning Man - now you can tell us when you started. Or if you haven't yet made it out to the desert, tell us what year you're planning to be your first. And if you've joined a camp and want to tell us about it, now you can.

By default, the fields are empty for all existing users. To fill out your info, you would go to the User Control Panel's profile page, and then fill in the fields. For Burning Since, enter the 4 digit number for the year of your first burn (or when you're planning to start), and for Camp Name enter the name of your camp.

And yes, you can enter any 40 characters for the camp name…

Once you've entered something into the new fields, it will display both in the profile page others see as well as the mini-profile that displays to the right of your posts on the boards.
