"Hold Me Through the Night" - Beth Hart Band. (There is no youtube, alas.)

This woman has an amazing voice. Reminds me a little of Janis, but not in a mimicky way. She just has passion. And she doesn't let it all out at once, it sort of unfolds until you're just astonished by the end of the song.

(Well--I was).

Ooh, good choice.

One of the best times on a dance floor at Burning Man ever was dancing to "A Little Less Conversation" with some friends on a Thursday night.

Fatboy Slim, AKA Norman Cook, Space, Ibiza, 2006. Can be found sometimes on his website, 61 minute cut. Beware, it is one of those that occupies your brain for days. "They know what they know, they don't know what they know, they just strut, what the fuck".

Very good stuff, love Norman's work. There was a FBS remix set (unmixed) that came out not too long ago that's just pure gold.

I'm currently listening to Coldplay's new album. So far (4 tracks in) it's very, very good, but several more listens are in order.

Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

Saw Al Greene perform, who has quit playing for the public.

Also what's left of Booker T and the MGs (Green Onion), and the Memphis Horns.

I was looking for the street performance of this song, I think, by the original folks in the days and nights of Molly Dodd.
Can't find it.

Well actually I was listening to a really good Hot Tuna version of it that I can't find on Youtube.
