Death Valley Trek

Hello!
So my plan next year, after the burn, is to take the scenic route from the Burn to the west coast. Part of that plan will include riding my bicycle through Death Valley. Have any of you done this? Do you know anyone who has? I have done as much research as I can from official sites and resources...I am now looking for subjective experiences, tips and suggestions. My planned point of entry is Shoshone, and I intend to take my time, completing it in 10 days or so.
