I'll be getting there no later than Saturday!
Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

the surface I saw was pretty good........I'm sure there are soft areas, too, but I didn't see it too bad.

Saw a truck laden with gear and bikes pulling a trailer (also laden with bikes) headed into Laguna Beach this weekend with a little 'Man' symbol. I guessed they could be camping somewhere on the coast or are being hosted in Laguna. Saw a few shops in Venice with 'the Man' painted on sandwich boards and signs.

Maintaining the planning without tickets didn't suit the way my brain works, so damn how I've kicked myself for not absorbing the advice to 'plan and you shall burn.' Gawdamn tickets are EVERYWHERE it seems!

I'll be in Mex for the first part of the burn and the Sierra Nevada for Labor Day weekend proper. See you So Cal burners on 395 South on Labor Day!

Departing Denver Thursday Noon(ish) have to finish loading the truck before we can hit the road, so it really depends on that.
Hope to hit Fernley on Friday Noon(ish).

Then head for BRC. Never had EA passes before so I have no idea how long it will take from Fernley to camp on Friday before gates open.

We have everything staged and The Place Next Door looks a shambles. Getting the Mother Ship first light and hope to be on our way by Noon Wed. Hoping to hit the playa Noonish Thur.

I am on the road NOW! Donner rest stop was closed, so I'm at an RV park in Truckee. Passed at least one burner on the way up the hill.

1 hour, 24 minutes, 30 seconds.

I am on a slow burn of freaking out (especially considering how bad last year went). Hopefully that will pass when I actually arrive at Burning Man.
