What does Amazon think you're doing?

Postby CarrieSnarf » Wed Aug 08, 2012 11:08 am

I love my "suggested products" on ebay and amazon this time of the year. I know its all automated, but I can't help but imagine a little man a desk putting together my suggested products and saying "What in holy fuck does this lady do?"

Today Ebay suggested: Combat boots, butterfly themed underwear and military parachutes.
Amazon: LED rope lights and motorcycle protection gear

Oh I bet he knows
Burning Man isn't about the stuff you see when you get there ....it's about the people that brought that stuff there

Multitool, yoga shorts, toy hand grenades, P-style, and a candy cane shaped glass pleasure wand.
I'm too jaded to think up a good sig-line. Need more coffee.

Not to shamelessly plug Amazon or anything, but the site kicks ass. I use them for everything I can.. even groceries.

I hope you all know about the totally free Amazon Prime trial membership that gives you free 2 days shipping on anything that Amazon fulfills. No money down.. just sign up for it.. and make sure to immediately go into your membership options and turn off auto-renewal so you aren't charged at the end of the month. It's a total life saver for the last minute stuff.

When your trial is over.. and if you're a bargain hunting cheapskate.. *cough*cough*.. simply make a new account and sign up for the trial all over again. You don't even need to change any vital info. Same as the previous one.

"Someone I know" has 12 different Amazon accounts.. one for each month..

Actually Cryptofishist, (pushes glass up on nose) my parachute is vintage, and I got it way before it was cool.

Apparently I want lots and lots of blinky lights. (Which is true). Also, more fake fur, even though I haven't yet figured out what I'm doing with the fur I already have....
