I have been enjoying both your posts for ages. (Countless cleanings of coffee spray off screen & keyboard...)

I'll never, ever forget the first time I ever met him.. waking up through my fog of the previous night still lying on the cushions loosely thrown on the second floor of this crazy 1920's mansion in South Florida. This booming voice coming from downstairs in the kitchen..

"Alright everybody.. we're gonna start down real low and then get louder and louder, are you ready? We need an eight ball.. We need an eight ball.. WE NEED AN EIGHT BALL!!! ****WE NEED AN EIGHT BALL!!!****" - While jumping up and down screaming wildly at the top of his lungs..

This was a precursor to my entire experience. He is not simply a man, but an experience. That's all I have to say about that.

I was sitting in the volunteer office, bored out of my skull and I took a "self portrait". Never have been able to have even a vaguely serious expression when I do that. Nothing sinister or (regretfully) fun was going on off frame.

Most of my playa pictures are either what I see when I am on-shift or from within my crew's camp.

the thing about seeing a skunk, in that circumstance, is that it most assuredly is ill, probably distemper or rabies.
unless totally sick, they don't come out in the day (unless chased), and especially out in the open.

I wonder if it might have caught a lift, inadvertently, in or on someone's vehicle, and then was panicking to find itself on the playa. Surely it was far from home.
