For my own part, I've begun printing my latest relief print creation,

which is as yet unnamed.

Here's a sloppy test print with all three colors:



Possible titles include "Get in!" "Buy the ticket, take the ride" and "Hot damn! I never rode in a convertible before!" Thoughts?

I'm ashamed to say I'm not currently working on any BM projects right now, but lots of ideas are kicking around in my head and at least one of them is sure to become a reality by August.

I've had fantasies of making myself a press. Not sure I've got the equipment to do it. I have to pull my prints by hand, hence the inconsistencies in the prints. It would be a lot less work with a press. Speedball makes one, but it's 400 bucks.

Got another 22 prints 2/3 done, plus another 7 1/3 done, but I'm now out of two of my crucial ink colors, and definitely don't have enough black left to do the third layer on them. Guess it's time for a trip to the art supply store.

Bullshit. Those are awesome and you should be very proud of your work. Printing with multiple colors is pretty difficult and you managed to make it look amazing.

As for my own creative projects.........

-I finished the design for a sticker I want to have a few hundred made up of for BM. Looking around at different printing companies now for good deals.

-I started work on an illumination system for my bicycle. It involves lightly frosted plastic tubing sized about 2" larger in diameter than the actual tubing of my bike with colored LED lighting strategically placed to try and make it look like all the tubing is glowing.

It might fail miserably, but I have not put much money at all into it yet so I can test it to see if I can get it to work. If it does work, it would be great even for my daily commuter bike here at home. I always worry about being visible in the dark and this might be a good way to increase safety.

Would you be willing to briefly explain your technique to carve the runes? I'm curious.

just hand carved, with a sandblaster, about 3/8 inch deep........the stone is granite.

pretty simple, really.

Diamond sawed the groove for the sword, then, cross drilled the cut, and, drilled the sword, and cut a pin short enough, to barely tap it in (to much pressure and, the stone would eventually crack), below the surface, and, fill the hole with colored epoxy, to mast it.
use lead shimming material to tighten the sword.

We have some sort of local "art group," called The Contemporaries. I think the gist is under 40 art supporters...they have shows and whatnot.

We're paying their silly dues to join, so we can get in free to all their open bar soirees.

Finished cutting the last of my poles for shade structure expansion. Built a new frame to support my violet wand table. It was too shakey for anyone over 250lbs. Now, 400lbs can be handled on it.

Still contemplating this cable spool in the back yard. I want to build a spanking bench out of it. Too many ideas and options,,,, gotta just measure, mark and cut. Then I'll be committed.
