Grandfather iis moving into the guest cottage.. With him comes a Charlie a.k.a. baby. A Mancoon at 17 pounds.. His playmate is Bruno a short fat dog.. Now the crows will be mad at me for putting short chase anythings in the yard..

Damn... Nieghtbor cat has one ear down and looking very thin... He is a huge kitty named Snuggles and is house brother to the kitty that moved into our boat house..Wish he would come over to visit.. I would take him to a doctor..

The local animal control or humane society usually loan out live traps...just a suggestion
I've done that with some of the feral cats at work. I take the caught cat to the humane society and they give them the TNR treatment. If they think the cat can be adopted, they will keep it.

Snuggles is friends with my daughter.. He will allow her to pick him up for loves.. Just have to wait until he comes over in an evening when she is home from work..

I think some male has hit both of these cats.. Snuggles stays away from me.. The new kitty Calee is afraid if I reach toward her head.. She likes being carried and gives head butts under the chin..

Right now on Charter news theres a story of a cat in England named Oscar who had a run in with a combine. Both his rear legs got cut off and his owners took him to two vets and were able to install artificial legs for him.

Cat was sitting by the shop door this morning.. Grandfathers little dog Bruno walked up and gave him a kiss.. Cat come in the shop and sat under the tool bench for awhile.. Then he shook his paws like " eeeww dog spit". Got up and went to the house and to bed..

I'm still woundering why he didn't kick that dogs ass..

When I young I has a small kitten named Terry. My mothers boyfriend moved into the apartment with his dog. The dog tried to use Terry as a chew toy every day. One day, Terry ran under the couch and the dog followed. I bopped him on the nose and told him no. He turned and started to walk away. Out of nowhere there was a calico blur and the next thing I knew the dog was screaming.

Terry had gotten fed up and ran up to the dog, jumped, and dug in every claw and tooth into the dog's ass.

I had to be peeled off the floor from sheer laughter.

A few years ago I was watching TV and Rascal was lying on the coffee table.
Aussie, our Austrailian Cattle dog decides to come and sit between me and the table. Rascal rolls onto his back and starts pawing Aussie and one of his claws got under her right eye lid. Aussie screamed and jerked away which startled Rascal and they both parted. Fortunatly Aussie was'nt hurt to bad

Unjon, some dogs and cats get along.

I was having a lot of dreams about cats.
Found a cat I was looking for, very happy to see it.
Antim was sitting on the couch near him, doing Antim things.
Big grey striped cat.
Put him in a wire cage next to me, and he stretched out and purred.

Another cat was a huge blue cat.
Just barely blue, a natural blue, but blue.
Seemed perfectly normal.

Funny thing is I've never even seen a cat like either one.


Got a story about dogs social interaction with cats.
New dog in the neighborhood, hanging out with the other dogs and a cat strolls out and ignores all the dogs.
Goes on with his kitty business.

This dog can't believe this and wanting to show off, goes after the cat, which ignores him for a long time.
No other dog joins in, even growls.
The cat bristles and pulls back slightly, but doesn't run.
Finally the cat leaps on the dog's back and digging all his claws in behind the neck, hunkers down and hangs on, as the dog finds out why nobody bothers this kittycat.
So the cat rides this screeching dog around the neighborhood for awhile as everyone laughs.

Finally the cat hops off and goes back to his perch.

None of the dogs bother him.

My cat "Rus-T-Nails hates dogs.. He was a street kid before he came to live with me.. Rus is into stocking the pincher that lives next door.. The dog barks at night and wakes him up..

Had some big maine coons in the neighborhood.
Fenced yard.
One was a rambunctious black and white so big that when he walked down the fence it bounced side to side with his weight.
The other one was older and thin, with poofy black fur.
Never saw him rush anywhere.
You could hold him and let his body dangle and if you petted him, he' hang there forever.
But not much of a threat.

One of the roaming packs of dogs rushed into the yard once.
They hadn't met the new kitties.
The big tomcat took off after them, but what astounded me was the older cat did too.

They cornered those dogs in the yard and tore the shit out of the whole pack.
Much loud yipping and crying,
For years after the cats moved, dogs would cross the street when they went by.
It was wonderful and weird to see them flee, being chased by two pissed off pussycats.

I feel lucky I got to see that.

I never saw the black one move fast again.

Sooo! I have to work nights this week (1:30pm to 12:00am) for hot august nights.
I get home around 12:45 last night. Around 1 oclock I decide to mix some sesame seeds and wheat germ in yogurt and watch the weather channel for a few minute and then hit the sack.
I'm mixing this over the kitchen sink.
There I am, barefoot and in my tighty-whities mixing this concoction and little Gizmo, the cat I found at work in April 09 as a month old kitten rubs against my calves going right to left
I look down at him and said "Hi Gizmo!" in playful tone. He does a 180 to his left and looks up at me and out of nowhere, he jumps on my left foot.
I look at him again and said in a playful tone "Gizmo don't do that, that can hurt."
He dose another 180 to his left and walks about 8 feet away, dose a 180 to his right and stands there staring at me for a few seconds
I carry on with my yogurt concoction and he musters up all the speed he can in 8 feet on a linolieum floor and jumps just short of my left foot and slides into it.
I let out a quick "OWW damn you Gizmo!" and he walks behind me and trots off down the hall with his tail in the air.
I walk over to the sofa with my concoction, sit down, turn on the weather channel, plop my feet on the coffee table and look at my stinging left foot and there's a pindrop of blood where his claws got my middle toe.
I don't know what posessed him to do that.
Right now as I type this he's lying on the floor, about three feet to my left just as tranquil as ever gazing across the livingroom floor at a cats eye level.
He's a good cat
