Shinobi play-fights with me on the couch. He knows not to claw my face, or bare feet! In fact, he'll gently scrape my hand with his teeth, then he licks as if to say, I didn't really mean that.

We had a scare at home yesterday morning at around 4:25.
Seems some dust settled on the sensor of one of the four smoke alarms we have and set it off. They're all wired together so all four were going off.

This did'nt appear to be a typical low battery chirpping so I called 911 while my wife was attempting to round up the cats and put them in carriers and load them in her Jeep. Alley, Como, Casper and Rascal were easy targets. Sam, Stinky and Gizmo hid under the bed.
I caught Sam in a fishnet and drug her out. She fought harder than any largemouth bass would.
Right then the fire department showed up so I released her and have the cuts on my left arm to prove it.
Two engines, a batallion chief and an ambulance arrived within seconds, a minute later the sheriff arrived. Three engines were enroute but were cancelled.
I've concluded that if it was a real emergency, we probably would have lost two or more of our cats.
So have some kind of plan for your DAMN CATS! and dogs and birds etc

Damn Cat.. Missed him a bunch.. He wont addmitt it but he missed me too. He always sleeps touching me.. I wake a little and his paw will reach out and flex on my skin.

Today he sliped out the door with out me.. Daughter come to an open door.. I went out and called: Wheres my kitty boy and he come running.. I told him if he ever did that again I would tell everyone he was a nice sweet kitty. He run into his room and went to sleep.. Damn Cat.

I was off today. So my wife, on her way home from work stopped to get a pizza for supper.
She comes home, walks in the door, puts the pizza on the living room floor to take her shoes off. Rightaway, Alley, the matriarch of our menagerie walks onto the box and lies down on it. Now we have gooey, melted cheese on the inside surface of the box.

Reagan won't let me touch him for a week. He was pissed when i got back.

He also gained a WHOLE pound. thats like a human gaining 10 in a week.

He has since lost it but he gives me a sad look when I leave now. BTW I left him with hsi uncle who gives him treats every day and pets him constantly. Could I have found a better sitter?

Maybe those daily treats caused him to gain that pound.

Our precious OWL cat died in January 2009. A few months before we were aware she had cancer, she was 14 pounds and several months earlier the vet said she needs to lose 3-5lbs. Well, the week before she died, she lost four pounds. She weighed in at 10lbs at the pet creamatory we took her to.

Four pounds in a week for a cat is like me losing 40-50lbs.

It's flea drop time.. Got the damn cat up from a nap, put him on the vanity, Held him, Sissy applyed the drops and carried him back to his nap spot.

This damn cat can lay a dirty look on you.. Not to sure I want to sleep in the same room with him..

The other two cats only objected cuz the drops are wet on the back of there neck..

All the Damn Cats are staying inside outof the rain..

This time it's a damn bird.. I thought a large branch fell on the house.. Later this bird was sitting on the patio, He had hit the window.. It knocked the shit out of him.. He was sitting very still in a pile of his shit.. It's a wood pecker type with finch colorring.. I took the end out of a 8x11 box and sat it over him, So he would be out of the rain.. In the late afternoon he was able to fly away..

Then I found a spot where a cat had been sleeping in a dry spot along the garage.. I moved the leaves back and put some cardboard down. Then cover it with the leaves.. If it sstays I will fix it up a little more..

Damn inside-outside cats have decided that lounging inside in the warm beats the cold barn. Summer time you cant' get them inside. Winter time, they change their tune.

They're getting fatter too, and it ain't from eatin moles. They wouldn't get it and made me get rid of that guy myself.

Wife and I left the house around 12:30 this afternoon to go to Carson City....run errands, get something eat etc.
We get home around 4:30 and I'm hanging up my coat and glance towards the tarantulas cage. It's upended on the floor. Fortunatly the cover stayed intact.
Rascal is on the shelf where it was. He'd been eyeballing it for the last week and now he once again, lived up to his name. Fortunatly the spider survived.

Today’s snowstorm sparked a desire in me to finally get around to spring cleaning (which I’d somehow spaced on in the spring). And so I spent about 12 hours vacuuming out all those little nooks and crannies that get missed with the normal swipes.

What I found was atrocious!

The only way I can figure it is that my cat – Larry – the neutered MALE cat – has been having scads of babies all over the house. Boneless, skinless babies. They were in every corner. In every vent. Behind every door. Little limp kitten-sized furballs everywhere. He’d even figured out how to smoosh them into the carpet so we wouldn’t see them.

I first thought I might post them as a litter on the local giveaway site here, but I was worried that I might get too attached to them thru the process. Especially since there are pages and pages of much cuter kittens on the site… all of them with bones and skin (which appears to be the more popular options)…. So, figuring I have a VERY SPECIAL CAT, who will make me many more of these wonders, I just got really good at naming them, saying “helloâ€

I heard loud thumping from downstairs, sounds like the door to the room the little girl cats live in. I yell, and the Siamese damcat comes running up the stairs, all puffed up. I spank him, because I know he's been at the door down there. Spanking actually works with him, I don't hurt him, just smack his rump. I check on the girls, the one is unperturbed. The other mews a bit, but seems alright. I cuddle her, and there's blood on my hand? Where? The base/side of her tail. Nothing much, already healing. How did he get ahold of her butt under the door? Geez. I guess I'll need to put a breeze blocker thingy there.

Damn Cat fishing was fime yesterday... Used a paper bag on the floor for bait.

None were good enough to fry up for super.. Had to keep throwing em back cuz they were so spoiled..

Damn cat climbed into bed with cling-ons! I threw his furry ass out, then in the morning nearly stepped in it!

Ever get up in the morning, you're walking barefoot to the kitchen, not paying attention to where you walk and feel something warm squishing between your toes?
Find out the cat just ate some food that was left out for it then quickly proceeds to yack it up, right before you get up. Swear its deliberate.


Little Gizmo, mentioned earlier, will be two in late March
Two weeks ago he's on the computer desk, which is about 5 feet tall.
I'm watching him, he gets to an edge and takes a pounce position.
Then he jumps off, right on to 13 year old Stinky who was innocently walking around.

He's kinda rough on the "elderly" cats we have. He's just playing but they usually don't want anything to do with it.

One of the neighborhood cats, maybe one of the feral ones that tolerate me, regularly leaves tracks down the front of my windshield.

We have a few neighborhood cats we leave food out for. Never had one walk across my car or truck though. My wife had prints on her Jeep a few months back.
We religiously open the hood of our vehicles before starting them. Just to make sure.
