Jeanie

You say you need me to see
See right through you
When you say you're ecstatic
But you're sad and blue

And you need me to be strong
Stronger than steel
To try and protect you
From the emotions that you feel

And you need me to fly
Fly at bullet speed
Drop down at your side
In your time of need

You've got me leaping over buildings in a single bound
Just to try and bring you your lunch downtown
I've been throwing busses and wrestling trains
Still somehow you were late to work again
Baby I would give you everything I can
But we both know that I ain't no Superman
You need me to exorcise the demons in you
Baby, that's something even Superman couldn't do

But Baby I can see
See right through you
You're in love with the pain in your heart
Not me, we can both see it's true

And baby I can be strong
Stronger than steel
That's not strong enough
To change these things I feel

And yes I can fly
Fly at bullet speed
No matter how fast I fly
I cannot stop your stupid fucking suicide

Baby I'd have given you all I can
But we both knew that I ain't no Superman
You needed me to exorcise these demons in you
Baby that's something even Superman couldn't do
He couldn't do that for you
And I ain't no Superman

Anything and Everything

I'd give anything to be with you
Give everything for your kiss
I'd give anything and everything
For a taste of your sweet lips

I'll move mountains made of chocolate
Cross oceans filled with wine
Build a mansion out of roses
For a moment of your time

See there's nobody else in the world like you
You change my skies from black to blue
Without you my head comes unscrewed
There's nobody else in this whole world like you

That's why I'd give anything to be with you
Give everything for your kiss
I'd give anything and everything
For a taste of your sweet lips

I'll stuff clouds into a mattress
Pull pillows from the wind
Spin silken sheets from a summer breeze
Just to make this love begin

I'll turn sunshine into honey
Put moonbeams in a box
I'll steal the twinkle from all the stars
Just to see to pick your locks

Cause when you smile my heart goes wild
I feel beguiled just like a child
When you leave I feel defiled
But when you smile my heart goes wild

And when we kiss I taste the bliss
That wish I made for happiness
When you go it's this I miss
When we kiss I taste the bliss

I'd give anything to be with you
Give everything for that kiss
I'd give anything and everything
For a taste of your sweet lips

Poets, Drunks and Debtors
All miss the fact.
No mater how sincere they are
They"re a burden on society's back.
What should I do?
To whom shall I atone?
For I find myself
A drunk Poet in debt and consequently alone.

Water that's poured inside will sink the boat
While water underneath keeps it afloat.
Driving wealth from his heart to keep it pure
King Solomon preferred the title 'Poor':
That sealed jar in the stormy sea out there
Floats on the waves because it's full of air,
When you've the air of dervishood inside
You'll float above the world and there abide...

Said Hamlet to Ophelia,

I'll draw a sketch of thee.

What kind of pencil shall I use?

2B or not 2B.

Nature’s beauteous form

contains a lovely essence

called by some — decay.

By this lovely presence

new life finds its way.

Tears shed silently

are but water of the soul:

they bring new life

to the pain of being –

a separation from that seeing

which makes death whole.

'Help, help, ' said a man. 'I'm drowning.'
'Hang on, ' said a man from the shore.
'Help, help, ' said the man. 'I'm not clowning.'
'Yes, I know, I heard you before.
Be patient dear man who is drowning,
You, see I've got a disease.
I'm waiting for a Doctor J. Browning.
So do be patient please.'
'How long, ' said the man who was drowning. 'Will it take for the Doc to arrive? '
'Not very long, ' said the man with the disease. 'Till then try staying alive.'
'Very well, ' said the man who was drowning. 'I'll try and stay afloat.
By reciting the poems of Browning
And other things he wrote.'
'Help, help, ' said the man with the disease, 'I suddenly feel quite ill.'
'Keep calm.' said the man who was drowning, ' Breathe deeply and lie quite still.'
'Oh dear, ' said the man with the awful disease. 'I think I'm going to die.'
'Farewell, ' said the man who was drowning.
Said the man with the disease, 'goodbye.'
So the man who was drowning, drownded
And the man with the disease past away.
But apart from that,
And a fire in my flat,
It's been a very nice day.

The grizzley bear is huge and wild
He hath devoured the infant child.
The infant child is not aware,
He has been eaten by the bear.

poetry speaks to me in words i don't understand
i reply in words i can't define
when i read the words of others written in this foreign tongue
my heart yearns for ...........

poetry is the words of my soul
when other speak it I wish i had another tongue
one that speaks what my heart feels
but i am left bereft and pleading for more
cheerful, competent, strong, and completely unconcerned.
