The Red Army Choir cd I found on monday, in russian! (I feel quite proud of myself to sounding out enough cyrillic to figure it out.)

Occasionally I'll have their rendition of the Soviet Anthem in my head for some reason...

Well, it's rousing stuff. Pretty much what a national anthem should be. The fact that is was also a band-aid of patriotism over the corruption of the Stalinist regime says something about the nature of the national myths we create. It's now the Russian anthem. I think they went with something else for a while but went back to it.

"Scottish Lullaby" from this clearance cd that I bought mostly for the artwork. Accordion and banjo is something I can do, however.
