Messages in Outbox not being sent

I have messages sitting in my Outbox from yesterday afternoon.

I've since sent messages that successfully went through.

What's up? Do they not go from Outbox to Sentbox until the recipient receives the message? Or what?

Something similar is happening to me now. Nothing in the FAQ tells you about this behavior.

I'm having the same problem. This is a much bigger problem than the formatting issues, plonk buttons, etc. Anyone have an email address for our overworked, underpaid admins?

I've noticed some sending delays and also some notification delays being sent to my private e-mail.

Give the admins time, some of the posts they put up yesterday indicate they are just now getting into the swing of things and they will tackle this stuff...they are only volunteers and they will need time to fix it. It will get done though.

Go to the Memberlist link at the top of the page and use the admin
username or emily sparkle. Send PM or email.

I think I'm ready to speculate that things sit in the outbox until the intended recipient logs in.

If indeed that is the case, it's actually a nice programming decision.

The Outbox
When you send a PM, the message goes to your Outbox. It remains in the
Outbox until the recipient visits his/her Inbox, at which point it is moved
from your Outbox to their Inbox. While the message remains in your
Outbox you may edit or delete your post if you like. The message
remains in your control until it is received.

Obviously someone has excellent attention to detail skills as I missed that too. Precip, what do you do when your not on here? Programming? You come across that you know what your talking about on a lot of things...I was just curious and thought I'd ask. You don't have to answer me though.
