The Woodland Art Center (serving the greater Sacramento, CA area) would like to display Burning Man style art in it's new gallery space. Our goal is to bring the spirit of Burning Man out into the default world and share the kind of art we burners enjoy every year with people who are unable to make the trek out to Black Rock City. Outdoor pieces would be placed in our sculpture garden and indoor pieces in our gallery. Artwork could either be offered for sale (if desired by the artist) or simply displayed in order to be shared (WAC is a private non-profit organization). Perhaps you have artwork in storage from a past year's burn or you would like to earmark this years artwork for display in a public space when you get back from the desert. In any case, thank-you to all the artists who put so much care and vitality into your creations!

Alrighty, just deleted the posts in which the username no longer appears on the memberlist. I may have missed a few, and I didn't tackle page one today, but this thread is down from seven pages to four.

A suggestion, perhaps comments which are helpful to keep should be posted seperately from sock puppet names.

I went after urls in the posts too. Again, I may have missed some, and I hope I haven't trod too heavily on toes.

you're sweet sb, but this .ru process has really been a group effort. i *so* appreciate the help of the mods and everyone else (especially bbs) to get this issue bubbled to the surface and (partially - at this time) taken care of. it can be frustrating, but just like setting up camp in a 70mph windstorm, it can be rewarding too. hugs all around.

hmm... how many hours a week depends on what's going on... with the .ru's it has been about 10 - 15 hours per week with all the clean-up and stuff. some days more, some days less. of course there are some weekends when the retail monster forces me away from my admin account, so i often have to play catch up on mondays.

Another list of spammers and socks.

Using the Memberlist I started sorting by location in descending order and quickly started looking at accounts with 0 posts and weblinks. If the listing pointed to sites for free phamaceuticals, blogspot blogs that were nothing but jewelry or drug ads, p0rn links, and our favorite .ru very obvious Russian spammer pages it's listed here.

If the link was suspicious to me I put the word "Questionable" after it so that someone else could make that determination. I hope this list helps clean things up a bit more around here!
