I didn't know the admins had axed any accounts yet, to me the flood of socks continues unabated and the master socks operate at will. Did I miss any new developments?

Now we know why a lot of these socks were started, and sat dormant - they're now being used as sock masters.

Considering those were in the thousands... I don't want to sound alarmist... but... we could be in for whoesale onslaught of sock accounts.

Time, maybe, to assemble a crew of volunters to go thru and clean that mes up before it comes back to bite us?

It's funny you posted this about the same time I googled aponomarenko and waded through 17 pages worth of places that his name and many of the master sock names show up together....

The deeper you look into this the more interesting it gets.

Now that you have the mods in place if there's anything I can do to help like watch and see if any new master socks show up or something please let me know. I grumbled about how long it took to get the mods installed but I'm glad to see it's done and I want to thank you for doing it.

And I admit I have a big smile thinking about aponomarenko having his account blocked or wiped out. He's on so many other phpBB boards seeing him booted off of even one would be a major victory.

If you really wanna clean house pull up the memberlist and run various sorts like by website, by joined date, by location....and start looking. I'm still seeing bogus accounts out there so it's gonna take time to clean this up....

If you haven't already I'd make sure any account on the master sock list with the Russian influence is booted......
