iPhone/iPad techs help! Spotify.

Postby tattoogoddess » Fri Mar 08, 2013 2:38 pm

I am taking my iPad with me to the burn because I have a spotify premium membership. It allows me to get pretty much whatever music I want for monthly subscription. I can put it What's called offline mode and listen to all my tracks well... Offline. Problem is what it does is it stores them on my iPod, if I cancel my membership I can't get them. But here is the question. I have a small iPad storage. To have enough music for a week I need a bigger memory. I was thinking about getting a external storage. So here is the question for you computer people. How do I send those spotify files to an external storage so I have more room for songs. I don't want to pay a gazillion dollars on iTunes to load up my iPod. We have a sou nd system In our camp so music for all week is a must. Help?

Get a cheap mp3 player and leave the iPad at home. Download your music through "other" channels. Even if you're not into pirated sources, there are plennnnnty of freely available DJ sets and otherwise all over the net. Try doing a search on Mercury Server in the promos section for the DJ du jour and you'll find all kinds of hits.

Just a thought..

I think Spotify has DRM on its tracks and so you have to jump through some hoops to convert the files. You can see if something like Despotify may help, but you'll have to learn how to use it yourself as I don't use Spotify.

HAHAHA!
So guess the iPod will have to do for storage of the rest of my music and the music I want. I cant find info ANYWHERE about it. Loading music onto the ipod now... upside.. I have every bootie mashup put out now on the ipod. Damn the memorys! Hope they will be back this year.

If anyone can figure this out let me know please.

ps thanks JS for the email.

So if you're going to cancel your subscription, I think the music will stop working on your iPod after some time unless you actually purchased the mp3. You might want to start looking for/buying the music before that point.

They'd better be coming, or I'm losing my ride & my home for the week.

We'll be there, they'll be DJing (trust me, you don't want me DJing...). AutoSub on Friday is pretty much tradition now, but it's a playa tradition so who knows how it will play out this year. Everything else is up for grabs this early, and they won't even want to start thinking about it until July/August.
