I found that after you start allowing yourself to piss regularly, you actually end up going more often. It's like your bladder muscles get used to not holding back so much liquid and take the easy way out and tell your brain to hit the loo. My sister calls the first piss that ushers in that era of bladder-laziness "uncorking the wine bottle." You've gotta fight that menace and hold true to the piss-holding, lest your bladder get dependent on frequent toilet trips.

Where did you pick up the term "loo"?

That's not actually what I wanted to know. (Although it is interesting.) But when people use britishism, especially those that my family has used, I want to know where they learned them.

Hmm, I'm not sure where I learned that term. I wasn't even aware it was primarily British-sourced. I probably read it somewhere or saw it on some show.

Every time I hit view new posts and see this thread title I get a mental image of a human kicking cat litter over a spot in a jumbo litter box.
