I found a portable fan and a simple two burner camping stove for super cheap at the thrift store... now I don't have to ruin my good coleman campstove!

I have also finally learned how to use my sewing machine and have been sewing costumes like crazy! I turned a way-too-big zebra print dress from goodwill into a skirt, top, and head peice... WORDS CAN'T DESCRIBE THE EXCITEMENT FOR MY FIRST TIME ;)

Fantastic, RosieTahoe!

If you haven't seen Ratty's fantastic clothing thread yet, I recommend it to you highly for fun and inspiration. I think it'll be right up your alley.

Start with what you have. It's easier and cheaper.

Oh this place is really getting going. Very inspiring.
I salvaged some displays for about 5 4 ft. long strips of white led lights. Not sure what's going to happen with them. It's time to actually sort the various project parts. I can literally look at any surface or craft box and find an led something in it. I found 4 boxes of jewel christmas ornaments and am thinking chandelier.

Seriously Savannah, it's like you know me without even knowing me ;) I LOVE that thread and it was the inspiration that really got me going on my costuming. I've been planning on posting a picture there with a skirt I made that is a take on Ratty's T-shirt belt tutu/skirt on page 2 of that thread! I made one in purple and added braiding to it... my creativity is going wild...

So today I ordered black light sensitive fang veneers....yeah, that sounds super weird, which is why I wanted them!!! Think vampire fangs that look real, are removable, and glow in the dark and are uv sensitive!!! I'm really excited about costume stuff this year because last year I went very minimal in that department :) :)

We are in Bali for 3 weeks. I'm showing great restraint. The entire island is a working 'Cargo Cult'. My swag is in theme and adorable. Tomorrow is NYEPI. (The day of silence). Bali shuts down and you have to stay inside. No lights are to shine out of your windows. The airwaves don't broadcast and even the airport is closed. It will be a rich full day of crafting, eating and drinking. Tourists are allowed to quietly roam within the confines of the hotel. BUT...Tonight is better than Mardi Gras. Nyepi starts at 6am. That's plenty of time to crawl home to my room. The sewing store and Bali Buttons are my favorites. They know me well.....Gotta start drinking now....
'This is going on your Permanent Record'.
For 2013 change my Playa name to 'Schwag Hag'
